When you have lemons, make lemonade

Homemade Lemondade

This weekend was one of the hottest we have had in October—a glimpse of mid-Summer in mid-Spring!

I’ve been pondering on all the amazing recipes I could follow with my bounty of gorgeous lemons, but there was no contest—if you are hot under the collar and you have Lemons… make Lemonade!


1/2 Cup castor sugar

1 Cup boiled water

1 Cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

Loads of ice

Lemon slices

Stir the sugar into the boiled water until dissolved and set aside to cool.

Once cooled add the lemon juice and pour over loads of ice, add a lemon slice and enjoy on a hot day.
