Christmas Tradition

I love tradition…that is in its “traditional” sense of passing down or handing over something for safekeeping.
Traditions at this time of year, in our modern world, certainly mean different things to different people depending on race, religion and even geography.
A tradition that started thousands of years ago, will have been adapted, adopted and altered significantly throughout the generations.
So while this is not what most would call a traditional Christmas tree, but to Sarah Ferguson’s family it has pride of place every year. Placing almond short bread as ornaments on the tree is a new tradition to honour her late mum who created the recipe and baked it as gifts for family and friends every year.
A tradition that changes over time, is no less important or pure when it is done out of love.
Merry Christmas.
