Introducing Brisbane’s Pollinator Space

This busy bee has been pollinating for new ideas

Big things have been a buzz this year. With the latest milestone of my passion project I’ve achieved a long term plan and am excited to share the news with you.

After what seems like years of dreaming, I now own and operate a bespoke, commercial warehouse turned creative/photographic studio in Stafford, on Brisbane’s inner-northside rim.

As well as being an amazing space to work in, and a killer place to host clients—it’s been lovingly constructed as Brisbane’s first dedicated food photography and videography studio!

The bee is the pollinator, that fertilises the flowers, that bear fruit and seed, that grow new life.

With my strong passion for food photography and beekeeping, this new space has been aptly named Pollinator.

Not only does the name link back to my love of bees and their contribution to our planet’s wellbeing, but it illustrates the vision for this space as one of optimal creativity. Pollination is the first spark of fertilisation that becomes something full of life, whether that be an original work of art, or a field of blosoming flowers. Creation cannot happen without pollination.

Creatives can now book Brisbane’s freshest warehouse studio

The space will not only be base to Feast Food Photography, but it additionally houses my much-loved, raw honey brand Madame Honey—and because this space is too good not to share, I’m opening it up for other creatives: photographers, designers, agencies and marketers to book.

Custom-built for food photography and more

Thanks to some detail-oriented and skilled tradesmen, my vision has now arrived in 3D. The Pollinator space has everything to facilitate a smooth and superior session for photography of all types, but extends beyond this to truly support high-end food photography. The fit-out is custom-designed to balance efficiency and practicality during shooting, whilst letting inspiration flow fully.

The commercial warehouse was selected and built specifically to accommodate large scale food sets. Kitted out with an all-you-need stylist’s kitchen and everything on client’s wish-list, use of the studio makes for a productive day or more, in a character-filled and comfortable environment.

I also selected this location for its interesting position nestled amongst other potential suppliers for photo shoots: a flower market; Bunnings hardware store; fruit and vegetable shop; and even a boutique gin distiller. You never know what inspired ideas need props at the last minute! I also wanted a location convenient to the Brisbane Airport—Pollinator is a short and sweet seven minutes via the airport link tunnel.

While the space is covetable, there’s no need to feel left out! Pollinator is now available for hire to members of the like-minded creative tribe.
